Cucumber Pickled in Sweet Vinegar

Cut the cucumber into 4 ~ 5 pieces. Using a rolling pin or something similar, smash the cucumbers. Place them in a heatproof container.
Diagonally slice the Japanese leek and julienne the ginger.
Heat sesame oil in a small frying pan, and sauté the red chili pepper with the leek and ginger until aromatic. Add the A ingredients next, then dissolve in the sugar. Add the sauce to the heatproof container from step 1 while the pan is still hot. Chill in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
