The saltiness of the bacon pairs well with the sweet and crunchy asparagus. This is a simple, but delicious side dish.
- 8 Asparagus
- 8 slices Sliced bacon
- a little Pepper
- As needed Vegetable oil
Wash asparagus well and drain.
Wrap bacon around asparagus and sprinkle lightly with pepper.
Put some vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the bacon until it starts to brown.
- If the asparagus' roots are thick and take a long time to cook, or if you don't like the feeling of stringy bits remaining, lightly peel asparagus with a peeler before wrapping in bacon.
