Bacon Wrapped Green Asparagus

Just roll it up and bake! Easy bacon wrapped asparagus. This dish has become a staple in Japanese lunchboxes and izakaya (Japanese traditional pub) menus!
The saltiness of the bacon pairs well with the sweet and crunchy asparagus. This is a simple, but delicious side dish.

Tips

  • If the asparagus' roots are thick and take a long time to cook, or if you don't like the feeling of stringy bits remaining, lightly peel asparagus with a peeler before wrapping in bacon.
