Fried Egg and Green Bell Pepper

This is a great dish for when you need just one more side dish for a bento box! A quick and easy recipe that takes only 10 minutes to prepare.
Adding Japanese soup stock to beaten eggs is a tip for added umami. You can also add crab meat instead of bacon. The green, yellow and pink colors will add a colorful touch to your table.

  • 4.23  oz Green bell peppers
  • 2.65  oz Bacon
  • Eggs
  • a little Salt
  • a little Pepper
  • 0.5  tsp Granulated Japanese soup stock
  • tbsp Vegetable oil

Instructions

Step 1

Cut green pepper into thin strips and bacon into small pieces.

Step 2

Add vegetable oil to frying pan and cook bacon over medium heat. Add the green pepper and stir-fry.

Step 3

Combine egg with soup stock, salt and pepper. Beat well. Pour egg mixture into pan and fry, stirring frequently. Take off heat onto a plate once eggs are of desired doneness.
